Workshops and procedures are described which are intended to help schools identify goals and measurement needs within the affective domain of educational programs. The document is part of the final report of a project to humanize education. The document is presented in six sections. Section I introduces the project's philosophy of encouraging a close working relationship between schools and project staff through workshops. Sections II, III, and IV describe workshop design, methodology, physical arrangement, scheduling, and sequencing of activities. Section V, the major part of the document, examines workshop components and activities. Components are (1) introduction to the project; (2) discussion of affective objectives; (3) description of affective assessment and measurement; (4) achievement of affective objectives; (5) implementation of an affective program; and (6) evaluation. Workshop participants are involved in a variety of activities including small group discussion, brainstorming, filling out questionnaires, role playing, and identifying objectives. The final chapter discusses problems encountered in workshops and involvement of parents and community members. (DB)
