The document describes 31 reference resources which provide citations to materials within social services and training areas in a variety of media. The directory has been compiled to assist staff development coordinators and other social services training personnel as they develop library and computer research skills. For each reference, information is presented on subject, type of reference, type of material indexed, publisher, update frequency, price, and service offered. An example of an abstract, annotation, or citation is also presented for each entry. Reference resources include book indexes, computer data bases, library services, and journal article bibliographies. Most of the examples emphasize material on gerontology, although the data bases deal with a wide variety of social service topics. (DB)
