From non-public schools there were 3,754 students graduating; 62.4% entered college, and an overall 67.6% were involved in formal education programs. Of the 1972-73 ninth graders, 68% graduated in 1976. The increase in the number of 1976 graduates as compared to the class of 1963 is 17,314 or 61.5%. Data is taken from principals' annual reports, superintendents' end of year reports, and the "Biennial Report of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction". Tabular data is presented as a comparison of the whereabouts of 1963 and 1976 graduates; enrollment patterns over the past 4 years of 1972-73 ninth graders in public, non-public and combined schools; and on the whereabouts of 1976 graduates from public, non-public and combined schools. Part I of this report presents numbers and whereabouts of 1976 graduates of all Kentucky high schools. Part II measures holding power by summarizing data on whereabouts and survival rate from ninth grade on ten graduating classes from 1967 to 1976 of public, non-public, and combined high schools. (DS)
