This report describes a mobile training program for directors of day care centers in which weekend workshops were conducted at 6 Michigan sites. Included in the report are descriptions of the three 2-day workshop sessions on Financial and Business Management, Personnel and Parents, and Child Development and Planning which formed the core of the program. These descriptions include the following information: (1) a list of educational objectives for day care center directors, (2) a list of content areas to be covered in the workshop, (3) the workshop schedule, (4) a sample list of instructors and participants, and (5) outlines of material covered in each presentation. Also described are details involved in the administration of the training program, including site and instructor selection; room, material, and food service arrangements; the development of a kit of materials for participants; and evaluation planning. Included in the appendices are a roster, an instructional staff record, checklists for pre-workshop planning, a sample agenda for a pre-workshop planning meeting, and a program brochure sent to prospective participants.
