Following a brief discussion of the use of the flannel board as a teaching aid in the elementary school, this paper lists and describes 29 journal articles and book chapters that provide information on using flannel boards. The publications cited offer suggestions for making flannel boards, tell how to use them in storytelling activities, and provide ideas for specific stories that may be told with the aid of the flannel board. Three relevant films are also described. (GW)
