Curriculum for an Early Childhood Gifted and Talented Program.

In 1976, the School District of Oconee County, South Carolina was awarded a federal grant to identify and serve children (3 to 6 years old) who were termed gifted and talented by ranking in the upper 2% of the population. A curriculum was devised to meet the needs of the gifted and talented student. The curriculum moved the child through a developmental sequence with the ultimate goal being to involve the child in a cycle of learning. (Author/SBH)
