Southwest Georgia Program for Exceptional Children, Ochlocknee. Ochlocknee Multi-Handicapped Outreach Project.
The curriculum is designed to give teachers guidelines and objectives for working with young children who are deaf or multiply handicapped. Five sections cover the following areas: language and communication skills, cognitive development, self help skills, social-emotional skills, and psychomotor development. Developmental steps are provided for age levels ranging from infancy to 9 years. Appendixes cover home based activities for language development, receptive and expressive speech skills for the hearing impaired child, orientation and mobility for the visually impaired child, sample strategies, charts and tables, and a sample developmental profile.
