Salary data are presented for 30,667 filled full-time positions. In the tables presented, salary data are reported separately for faculty with M.D. degrees and for faculty with other doctoral degrees. Section A of the report depicts faculty salary information regardless of degree held. The first portion of this section contains such data according to the two nature-of-employment categories: strict full-time and geographic full-time. Part II of Section A details faculty salaries for all degree levels by region. The number of medical schools reported is as follows: Northeastern - 35, Southern - 31, Midwest-Great Plains - 30, Western - 15. A breakdown of schools by type of ownership appears in Part II. These tables summarize data for 45 private schools and 66 public schools. Sections B and C contain tables which depict salaries by two degree distinctions: M.D. and other doctoral.
