Proposing to orient the reader as to how Georgia is meeting the challenge of vocational education for the handicapped at the secondary level, this paper discusses the following four major areas: compliance with federal guidelines; program design (including a student flow chart and job descriptions for related vocational instructors and paraprofessionals); program process; and program evaluation. In addition, recommendations to improve future efforts are also presented. The appendixes include the following information: an instructional blueprint for dealing with the handicapped in vocational education; a sample individual education plan; a performance task listing sheet; a learning plan and supplemental learning plan; and a monitor's rating sheet for the Related Vocational Instruction Program.
