Options for Families in the Face of Adversity. (Proceedings of the Family Study Conference, Oklahoma State University, March 16-18, 1977).
Oklahoma State Univ., Stillwater. Div. of Home Economics.
This report of a statewide conference on the possible options for families in the face of adversity was co-sponsored by the Family Study Center--Division of Home Economics, and the Office of University Extension, Oklahoma State University. General sessions on the effect of social change on the family, the co-relation between the energy crisis and the family decision making process, and an outline and proposed goals for a national policy for child development, were interwoven with smaller panel discussions on related topics. Among topics discussed were major unpaid contributions of goods and services that family members make to each other, effects of unemployment on family life, nutrition issues facing the family in the 70s, and programs to assist families of the handicapped. Appendices include the conference program and a list of participants. (CM)
