Materials contained in this career guidance unit introduce ninth grade students to business careers available and provide information to guide the student in preparing for these careers. The six-hour unit is designed primarily for classroom instruction, but can be adapted for individual use under teacher or counselor direction. Instructional sequences are outlined in terms of goal statements, performance objectives, instructor's information (including suggested grouping, content outline, new vocabulary, learner prerequisites, instructor's preparation tasks, resources), and a detailed outline for developing the lesson.
