Materials contained in this career guidance unit provide the eighth grade junior high school student with steps he can utilize in problem solving. The two-hour unit is designed for team presentation involving counselors (when they are available) working with teachers. Instructional sequences are outlined in terms of goal statements, performance objectives, instructor's information (including suggested grouping, content outline, new vocabulary, learner prerequisites, instructor's preparation tasks, resources), and a detailed outline for developing the lesson. A rationale statement for career guidance and a media resource sheet are included. The student activity booklet for use with the unit is provided. (TA)
