Orientation. Career Guidance. (Grade 7).
Mesa Public Schools, AZ.; American Institutes for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, Palo Alto, CA.
Materials contained in this career guidance unit are designed to help the grade 7 junior high school student recognize and develop self identity through understanding, developing, and establishing interpersonal and intrapersonal goals by identifying social skills through self inventories. The unit consists of three to five 45-minute periods designed for team presentation involving counselors (when they are available) working with teachers. Instructional sequence guides are outlined in terms of performance objectives, instructor's information (including suggested grouping, content outline, new vocabulary, learner prerequisites, instructor's preparation tasks), and a detailed outline for developing the lesson. A media resources sheet is included. (TA)
