The Integration of Marketing/Distribution and Hospitality/Recreation Career Exploration Curriculum into Selected Career Exploration Classes, Spring, 1977.
Barnes, Evelyn S.
A study was designed to evaluate the implementation of career exploration in marketing/distribution and hospitality/recreation through courses offered in one junior high and four senior high school classes in Wisconsin in 1977. The marketing/distribution and hospitality/recreation curriculum was incorporated in distributive education, American history, business, and English careers classes. Six teachers and 246 students, representing grades 8 through 12, were involved in the study. Information for the evaluation was obtained using four teacher questionnaires and two student questionnaires. Based on the responses in these questionnaires, it was suggested that the marketing/distribution and hospitality/recreation curriculum should be recommended for use in Wisconsin not only for exploratory distributive education classes but also in general career exploration classes. (Copies of the questionnaires are appended.) (BB)
