Summative Evaluation of Mountain-Plains. Volume I.
Mountain-Plains Education and Economic Development Program, Inc., Glasgow AFB, MT.
This first document in a three-volume summative evaluation report presents a portion of the internal evaluation conducted by the Mountain-Plains program, a residential, family-based education program developed to improve the economic potential and lifestyle of selected student families in a six-state region. (The three-volume report presents both an overview of the evaluation design and results and a component-by-component analysis as well.) This document contains an index of selected research reports which reference most of the major documents published by the Mountain-Plains project which are not already included in the three-volume summative evaluation report. The research studies contained in this document include an updated design for the internal evaluation; a discussion of the economic impact of the Mountain-Plains family education experience; an evaluation by employers of exited Mountain-Plains students; the final report on the user trial of Mountain-Plains curriculum; student evaluations of staff and curriculum; and summative internal evaluations of the family core curriculum and foundation education components. Two other documents comprise the summative evaluation report (CE 014 683 and CE 014 684) and present individual analyses of the remaining components of the Mountain-Plains program and various research studies.
