The Refinement and Modification of an Instrument for Assessing the Achievement of Interpersonal Skills of Social Work Students. Institutional Report No. 4. Wayne State University.
Cooperative Assessment of Experiential Learning Project, Princeton, NJ.
The Performance Assessment Checklist (PAC) was developed by the faculty of the Social Work Practice Sequence of the Wayne State University School of Social Work as a result of the need for a behaviorally specific instrument to assess student performance in the field work practicum. This instrument makes possible a systematic assessment of student performance as a means of pinpointing areas of strength and areas requiring additional emphasis on the part of the student and field instructor. The PAC consists of 12 check lists for rating student learning which fall into three areas: basic educational and performance skills, communication and observation skills, and problem solving skills. The original PAC and two revisions are appended. (Author/MV)
