Goals/Aims/Objectives. Duquesne University: A Case Study.
Nosow, Sigmund; Clark, Frederick R.
Presented is an analysis of the goals and aims of Duquesne University, a major Catholic institution. The study was based on data derived from a survey of the values and attitudes of persons significantly associated with the university and who will have a significant effect on its future: the board of trustees, administrators, faculty, alumni, undergraduates, and graduate students. This information is presented in narrative and tabular form: background information about the university; the apparent and preferred goals of Duquesne; the goal preferences of survey respondents, according to the characteristics of age, religion, and church membership; faculty composition, roles, and relationship to governance; and conclusions. The survey instrument used was one developed by the university; it is appended. (MSE)
