First of a new resource series, this annotated bibliography presents approximately four hundred training curriculums and instructional materials for motor vehicle mechanics and repairmen. The materials are divided into seven major categories: shop practice; general theory; engine and related systems; electrical and auxiliary systems; chassis; auto body repair and paint; and specific model maintenance and related careers. Each category includes entries of two types: print materials, arranged alphabetically, which include such materials as textbooks, instructor's manuals, and student workbooks, and audiovisual materials which include films, records, slide sets, and transparencies. Each entry includes some or all of the following: title, source/publisher, number of pages, author(s), date, material(s) included, price, and annotations. A concluding chapter provides references to such items as catalogues, trade journals, training courses, and trade associations. A publishers index and ordering information are appended. (BL)
