This is the second of three reports on the 1974 National Survey of Scientists and Engineers conducted by the Bureau of the Census. It presents employment data for those respondees included in one of eight fields of science or engineering. The data are presented in detailed statistical tables; notes on the sample, questionnaire, and procedures used in the study are included. A summary section discusses such factors as unemployment rates, salaries, age, race, type of employer, primary work activity, federal support, and women. (MS)
