This monograph contains follow-up information gathered by 54 Texas postsecondary institutions on 1975-76 occupational/technical graduates of both certificate and associate degree programs. Data are reported for 8,763 graduates from a total population of 13,958. The highlights were that: (1) 71% of the graduates were full-time employees in their field of training or a related field; (2) 53% were male; (3) ethnic distributions were 66% white, 15% Hispanic, 9% black, 1% American Indian, and 9% undefined; (4) while all areas reported employment percentages above 65%, health occupations, technical education, and homemaking were highest with 88%, 84%, and 80% respectively; (5) graduates who were continuing their education at higher levels ranged from 4% to 14% in specific program areas; and (6) unemployment rates ranged from 2-12% according to program areas. Data are presented on the employment status, ethnicity, sex, and continued academic enrollment of graduates of each of 173 program areas. A copy of the questionnaire used most often by the colleges is included. (RT)
