Project #138. Coronary Care Education of Health Care Team. Final Report.
Saint Joseph Hospital, MO.
The goal of this project was to develop, establish, and implement a system for the educational development of health care team members of the St. Joseph region in emergency and coronary care. Programs, curricula, and evaluation methodology were devised for four levels of critical care personnel: R.N.s emphasizing emergency and coronary care; L.P.N.s emphasizing emergency and coronary care; E.M.T.s as required for state licensure; and M.E.M.T.s based upon approved state curricula. A system for the continuing education of professional and nonprofessional personnel in these two areas was also developed and implemented. Program methodology and detailed curriculum and course descriptions are included in this report. (LBH)
