Computer-Assisted Manpower Models Using Goal Programming. OCP Research Report No. 32.
Niehaus, Richard J.
This monograph reviews the development of goal programming models, discusses their current status, and projects research frontiers. An introductory section presents a brief history of the models and acknowledges the work of several authors in the field. The bulk of the paper is devoted to the presentation of aggregate model structures (including initial models, variations, transformations, and reduced versions) and how they can be linked to planning, e.g., program planning and equal employment opportunity planning. Another section describes assignment/distribution model structures, and the concluding section focuses on extensions of the models and possible future research. (BL)
