This 360 hour basic course includes instruction and practical experience in the following: Safety, care and use of hand tools and manuals, theory of internal combustion, ignition and electrical systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, drive units, and engine control systems. The titles of the performance objectives are: Orientation, Tools, Engine Construction, Ignition System, Fuel System, and Drive Unit.
