One of a series of training manuals prepared for enlisted personnel in the Navy and Naval Reserve, this self-study program is designed to enable the electrician's mate to prepare himself for the increased responsibilities of a senior petty officer with ability to operate, maintain, and repair voltage and frequency regulating equipment transistorized control devices, automatic degaussing systems, no-break power supplies, and electrohydraulic load-sensing governors. Contents include an 11-chapter text followed by a subject index, occupational standards, and the associated nonresident career course (five reading assignments with technical questions based on the occupational standards in the respective assignment).
