The Revision and Validation of a Set of Career Education Cognitive Evaluation Instruments.
Rader, Billie T.
The Career Education Cognitive Questionnaires were originally developed in 1973. The tests are designed to measure cognitive knowledge about the world of work for children in grades one through nine. Revisions were made in each of the three tests based upon item analysis and teacher reviews. Following revisions, test-retest reliabilities were obtained by grade level for each of the three tests. The validation portion of the study was designed to identify face and content validity as well as estimates of vocational maturity and differences between groups or levels of sex, teacher emphasis, levels of father's education, and father's occupation.
