Personal Opinion Survey.
Harvard Univ., Cambridge, MA. Harvard Project Physics.
This questionnaire, developed for use in evaluation of the Harvard Project Physics curriculum, consists of 90 Likert scale items selected to measure seven psychological variables: (1) dogmatism, (2) authoritarianism, (3) rigidity, (4) need-achievement, (5) order, (6) affiliation, and (7) change. Items were taken (with permission) from other scales measuring these variables, and the current scales have been shown to have Cronbach alpha reliabilities ranging from 0.65 to 0.84. The five choices used in each item range from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree." The test was designed for use with secondary school and adult populations; administration time is about one hour. (SD)
