Evaluating Instructional Computing; Measuring Needs and Resources for Computing in Higher Education.
Mosmann, Charles
A study considered criteria for the evaluation of computing resources for college students. The nature and status of instructional computing in higher education were examined in terms of the need for student access to computers, development of resources, and evaluation of the effectiveness of computer use. Current computer use was reviewed, and techniques to measure the quality and quantity of computing resources were recommended. The effect of various techniques of decision making on an individual campus were explored. Methods for rationalizing and formalizing these techniques were formulated. (CH)
