Summarizing the results of a conference of 30 Maryland media specialists, this report provides illustrations of a variety of media services to augment instruction in the skills of reading, listening, and viewing. Part I consists of background essays, and Part II details a program of media services for elementary, intermediate, and senior high schools that is specifically designed to meet the needs of staff, students, administrators, and community. For each level and for each group, services are listed in the areas of: (1) accessibility of resources; (2) reference or information; (3) library instruction; (4) media production; and (5) consultation.
