McCune, Shirley; Matthews, Martha
An understanding of federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination and their implications for education policies and practices is necessary for policy makers, administrators, and education personnel serving elementary, secondary, and postsecondary institutions. The summary of federal laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination in education institutions and agencies and selected case examples provide a review of laws most relevant to education institutions and agencies, it also facilitates the identification of discriminatory practices or situations along with the federal laws that apply.
