Yearbook of Equal Educational Opportunity. 1975-76, First Edition.
Government and private agency statistics on a variety of education related problems are presented in this first edition of the yearbook. Material gathered on educational and labor-related opportunities of seven groups: blacks, Spanish surnamed, American Indians, Women, and Japanese, Chinese, Filipino descended Americans is presented. This publication offers an overview of the educational status of each group and highlights areas in which educational opportunities have been or need to be improved. Because of the strong correlation between education and economic gains, statistics and other material related to jobs and living standards are included. Some information on labor conditions and job market projections appears as well. The volume is divided into seven sections dealing with specific aspects of equal educational opportunity: (1) general; (2) blacks; (3) Spanish surnamed; (4) American Indians; (5) women; (6) other groups (including Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino-Americans); and, (7) related information.
