This yearbook of the Association for Programmed Learning and Educational Technology is intended to provide an updated general reference survey for practitioners in educational technology. In Section 1, eight invited articles on trends within the field serve to outline some aspects of current thinking. Section 2 contains articles on the state of education in different contexts within the United Kingdom and in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and Europe. It is followed in Section 3 by a directory of centers or research and other activity, and of interested associations and organizations throughout the world. Section 4 lists programed materials, and Section 5 lists audiovisual equipment available in the United Kindgom. No attempt has been made to cover the United States audiovisual market in full; instead, existing catalogs are listed and summarized. (CH)
