Students at Federal City College.
Federal City Coll., Washington, DC. Office of Institutional Research.
Statistical data regarding Federal City College students are presented in 19 charts and tables, some with accompanying commentary. The enrollment of 8202 students for Fall 1975-76 represents the highest since the college was established; fewer than half of the on-campus students study full-time. The majority of the full-time-equivalent (FTE) undergraduates on campus were registered in the lower division. The student body has grown at an average annual rate of 46 percent and the mean student age is getting older. Seventy-four percent of enrollees reside in the Northwest and Southeast sections of the city. Of 2800 graduates, about 66 percent completed a baccalaureate degree, 24 percent with a master's degree and 10 percent an associate degree. A growth in graduates has occurred in nursing and other health professions, mathematics, accounting, and social work. About 87 percent of the undergraduate alumni and 56 percent of the graduate alumni are pursuing degrees at the professional, graduate, and post-graduate levels. A large number of graduates report a direct utilization of degrees pursued to employment before and after graduation. Median salaries have risen as has the proportion of foreign enrollees.
