Intended for special program teachers, the monograph is noted to provide assistance in planning, organizing, and implementing efficient educational intervention strategies emphasizing behavior modification for students with behavioral and/or learning problems. Information is presented for solving problems in the following areas: establishment of initial priorities, classroom designs which facilitate learning, establishment of classroom rules, procedures to design and implement a reinforcement system, reinforcement schedules for individual students, introduction of students into the classroom, guidelines for administering individualized instruction, considerations for establishing group instruction, maintenance of control in the classroom, and ways to ensure success in working with students. Included are classroom floor plans, classroom charts relating to the point system and reinforcement center, an example of an individualized schedule of daily events, a student-teacher contract form, and a sample task sheet for students unable to tell time.
