Comments from 19 governors of different States and Puerto Rico regarding vocational education were compiled in 1969 from speeches and other written works. These comments are presented in nine categories: (1) personal dignity in work, (2) realistic educational goals, (3) vocational education and current crises in society, (4) increasing complexity of jobs and job training needs, (5) those with special needs, (6) quality vocational education, (7) development of State and area resources, (8) community involvement, and (9) demands of the future.
