This is the sixth annual publication of pertinent characteristics related to public education in South Carolina. These characteristics have been selected and compiled to indicate the relative standing of each county or school district in each statistical category. The 108 ranked characteristics are arranged alphabetically by county or school district, as well as numerically in order of magnitude of the particular characteristic value. The characteristics are grouped under six general headings--population characteristics, economic characteristics, pupil characteristics, professional staff data, financial data, and miscellaneous data.
