This study used the Delphi technique to obtain a consensus of factors that contribute to success in the administration of AA high school (those having enrollments of 230 to 500 students) in Texas. A panel of successful principals from the AA high school ranks made up the panel of experts. On the first of three questionnaires, the panel was asked to list the most improtant factors that would contribute to success in AA high school adminstration in the next five years. There were five topics--school management, human relations, working with groups, setting and meeting goals, and personal characteristics. The second questionnaire consisted of edited and organized responses from the first for the panel to evaluate for improtance. On the third round, the panel was given tabulated reactions to the statements on the second questionnaire, and the members were asked to again rate the importance of the statements on the second questionnaire.
