This journal provides a focal point for the collection and distribution of systematically processed information about theory and practice in theatre. Part of an irregularly published series, this issue contains investigations of possible effects of counterattitudinal role-playing on actors' attitudes and self-concept, cognitive dissonance and role-playing in the theatre, the relationship of perceptions of the body to pantomimic ability, and "believability" of performance perceived in a communications context. In addition, empirical research concerning the frequency of actors'"micro-momentary facial expressions," or expressions of nervousness, fatigue, or fear which appear during a performance, is summarized.
