This journal provides a focal point for the collection and distribution of systematically processed information about theory and practice in theatre. Part of an irregularly published series, this issue contains investigations of the effect of quantity of stage lighting on audience comprehension, three methods of line memorization, reliability of judgments of directing techniques, actor-character personality identification in a theatre production, psychology and drama, and the effectiveness of reader's theatre and silent reading in communicating the meaning of unfamiliar dramatic literature. Research reports describe a correlation of personality types with level of approval of controversial material on the stage, and an analysis of the relationship between preference for specific set design styles and degree of introversion/extroversion.
