Presented is the Virginia State Education Department's curriculum development guide for teachers of the trainable mentally retarded (TMR). Briefly considered are long range goals and characteristics of the TMR child, curriculum design factors and the role of the teacher. The bulk of the document is comprised of activities for primary, intermediate, and advanced level children in the areas of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
