The Improvement of Teaching with Theatrical Devices.
Koontz, Franklin R.; Sinclair, Phillip A.
Educational television has become an increasingly important successful element in television programing. This element can be introduced in the classroom through the frequent use of videotaped theatrical skits which illustrate points made by the instructor and which have been prepared in a television studio. The skits may be classified as either stimulative, informative, or humorous. Preparation of the script for a skit should take into consideration students' interests and problems so that empathy and humor are inherent and student attention is maintained. (JM)
