This report on the operations of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) for the 1973-74 period provides descriptions of research activities related to experimental and analytical studies, surveys, curriculum innovations and evaluations, reviews and comparative studies, the (Australian) Schools Commission, measurement studies, and test development. In addition the following operational services and functions of ACER are described: testing services, data processing, advisory services, trading operations, publishing, staff matters, buildings and accomondations, and finance. The relationship of ACER with the International Association for Educational Assessment is described. Lists of Council members, officers, and staff members of ACER are provided, as is a list of State Institutes for Educational Research. (SD)
