A Borrower Be: An Interchange of Culture in the Classroom. Dialogue Series, Volume II.
Norris, Ruby Lee, Ed.; Sange, Sally Harris, Ed.
The essays in this book concern successful experiences with interdisciplinary education during the 1972-73 school year at the Humanities Center in Richmond, Virginia. The first section of the book focuses briefly on the program's seven humanities-related subjects (including the directors of each subject): filmmaking; printmaking; mime, dance and music; photography; art; history; and performing arts. In the second section, six essays offer a broad sampling of the teaching styles brought by five poets and a novelist to the workshop, conferences, and classrooms of the program. A list of participating schools and poets and an index are included. (JM)
