Educational Management Development Center Report of Year One and Proposal for Year Two.
Merrimack Education Center, Chelmsford, MA.
In its first year of operation (1973-1974), the Merrimack Educational Management Development Center emphasized the identification of management needs at the local school system level. The Center's assumptions about educational management served as a basis for the program. Special attention was given to the transfer of industry-based management concepts to education. As proposed, the second year's program for the Center would use a novel mix of proven and accepted process techniques in working on field problems and developing new intervention strategies for conducting and managing the process of education. A highlight would be an effort to influence organizational changes. The Center's quarterly reports and the Havelock model for acting as a change agent are appended. (Author/SK)
