This document is concerned with the question of deciding institutional eligibility for participation in Federal higher education programs. Part 1 of the hearings deals with accreditation. The contents include statements by the members of the house committee and various witnesses. Letters, prepared statements, and supplemental materials are also included concerning the accreditation issue. The extensive appendix includes articles, publications, background information, letters, and newspaper articles also concerning accreditation.
