To meet the needs of adult students in higher education, colleges and universities must give attention to the planning implications of enrolling large numbers of adults. Institutions ready to accept the challenge of the adult student must reevaluate program offerings, course scheduling, special degree programs, changes in methods of instruction, student evaluation, student services, curricular organization and delivery, and physical plant considerations.
