The preservation of the public health is one of the duties devolving on the State as a sovereign power. However, the delivery system for health care service is not always efficient and effective, especially in the case of children. This paper, in attempting to define children's rights to health care, examines the statutory and case law in Mississippi and selected other States on children's health rights, and makes recommendations for improving Mississippi laws.
