Development and Validation of Instructional Programs for the Allied Health Occupations. Final Report.
Anderson, Miles H.
The Allied Health Professions Project at the University of California, Los Angeles, has developed a new approach to occupational and task analysis and an innovative task-oriented method of preparing instructional materials based on those analyses. Task inventories have been prepared and are available for 25 occupations. About one-third of the document is taken up with a detailed account of the methods and procedures used in the development of the occupational analysis for nursing, including discussion of the tabulated responses to the survey instrument used. The occupational analyses for 13 other allied health occupations are summarized. The instructional materials whose development has been the primary goal of the project are outlined. (SA)
