This Information Bulletin describes an effective system for utilization and communication of research results. Research financed by the National Board of Education and discussed in this bulletin is primarily for practical application. The principle of practical utilization directs research toward guiding principles, methods, techniques, and hints for curriculum development. A diagram presents the progression of research projects and illustrated the pivotal importance of the "Expert Group" which consists of Research and Development Bureau personnel, outside researchers from appropriate areas of specialization, such as preschools or comprehensive schools, and Ministry of Education representatives. This Group relates potential research to areas in need of investigation, suggests probable points of utilization, issues reports, and requests statements from the researchers for distribution in the field. Communication of final research results is accomplished by various reports, series, and bulletins, as well as by press, radio, and seminars. Evaluation of research is a further condition for effective utilization and is accomplished by interview, written analysis, and research.
