This publication consists of papers presented at the 1969 Annual Institute for Public Health Social Workers. The theme of the institute focused on family planning in the context of maternal and child health services, on examples of social work practice in family planning, and on the educational needs of social workers as related to this practice. In Part I of the publication, papers concerning the sociological, public health, and medical aspects of family planning are presented. The papers in Part II are directed more specifically to the social worker's role in family planning. Papers that deal with social work education and family planning are presented in Part III.
