Radley, Virginia L.

Then she presents the qualities necessary to be accepted by the personnel deans or deans of women. The author concludes with practical advice for each woman in higher education with administrative ambition: master a subject area; concentrate on teaching students well; go to institutions that have a reputation for according respect to women students and women faculty; write research; belong to professional organizations; travel; cultivate a sense of humor.
